I'm deeply honored that some of my patients have taken the time to write about their experiences here at MCG Spine. For your benefit, here is just a sample of what they have written:

"Dr. Choudhri,

I was planning to send you a note on the second anniversary. It's hard to put into words how pleased and amazed I am with the results of my fusion. There is absolutely no pain in my lower back and I can play golf and live my life without any interference. I am and always will be cautious about certain motions and lifting heavy objects but that is due to common sense and fear, not pain. I recently turned 50 and a friend commented that 50 was much more traumatic than turning 40. My response was that in my case it was much happier because there was no constant pain as there was 10 years ago.   If we had an hour to chat, there might be enough time for me to detail all the doctors I saw, all the techniques I tried, and all the erroneous information I was given in the 14 years prior to your identifying and correcting my problem. As a compassionate person, I envy the power you have to dramatically improve people's lives. You are immensely gifted and I was incredibly fortunate to have been referred to you!

Thanks, although I can't thank you enough, for fixing my back."

"Dr. Choudhri,

I suffered with lower back pain for 5 solid years before Dr. Choudhri performed my surgery and gave me back a part of my life. The first doctor I went to only did an MRI of the lower back. He recommended steroid injections and sent me to a pain management doctor. The injections didn't help. It was discovered by the pain management doctor that I had 2 torn disc's and a neucleoplasty (sp) was performed. That helped with a portion of my pain but still didn't stop the aching in my legs, tingling in my feet, or the burning sensation in my lower back.

Dr Choudhri was the only doctor who recommended doing MRI's of my neck and thoracic region. This is where he discovered the compression on my spine between T8 and T9. He gave me validation for what I had been feeling but no one else could find an answer for.

The morning of my surgery I wish I had taken a pain pill because I hurt so badly. When I woke up in recovery the first thing that I realized was that I was actually free of pain for the first time in 5 years. The burning, the aching, the tingling...none of it was there. It's amazing what this surgery has done for me. I would without hesitation do it all over again and will continue to recommend Dr. Choudhri to others."
